Scott #1157 4¢ United States Postage Stamp Represents the 150th Anniversary of Mexico's Independence.

All plate blocks are in MNH (Mint Never Hinged) condition. Four different plates were used when printing the stamps. The corresponding plate numbers are 26707, 26713, 26717, and 26722. If the plate number & position are not important when ordering, you can select 'Surprise me!'. Each separate plate block will come in a glassine envelope for protection.

  • SubjectThe U.S. #1157 stamp is a 4-cent commemorative issued on September 16, 1960, to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Mexican Independence. Released in Los Angeles, California, this stamp features a green and rose-red design depicting the historic Bell of Dolores, which Miguel Hidalgo rang to ignite the revolution. It was a joint issue with Mexico to honor the sesquicentennial of the start of the Mexican War of Independence.
