Scott #1160 is an 8¢ Champion of Liberty Series Postage Stamp Featuring Ignacy Jan Paderewski.

All plate blocks are in MNH (Mint Never Hinged) condition. Two different plates were used when printing the stamps. The corresponding plate numbers are 26753 and 26763. If the plate number & position are not important when ordering, you can select 'Surprise me!'. Each separate plate block will come in a glassine envelope for protection.

  • SubjectScott Stamp 1160 is an 8-cent United States postage stamp issued on October 8, 1960, to honor Ignacy Jan Paderewski, a Polish patriot, pianist, and statesman. Part of the "Champions of Liberty" series, which commemorates figures who fought for freedom, the stamp features a portrait of Paderewski based on a painting by Polish artist Tadeusz Styka. It highlights his pivotal role as a champion of liberty, particularly during his tenure as the first Prime Minister of independent Poland, which began on January 18, 1919.
